What I pack to support a luxury retreat

I’m getting ready for an incredible adventure in Hawaii, where I’ll be supporting a women’s feminine energy retreat hosted by my amazing client Alexis.

The retreat takes place on the Big Island, and after that, I’ll have four days to explore the island adventure style.

I am packing for an 8-day trip with two very different vibes—work and adventure—which can be a challenge, but I’ve got a plan.

Let’s dive in!

Work Outfits: Retreat-Ready and Functional

When supporting a retreat, I need outfits that let me bend, lift, and move freely while still looking polished. Here’s what I’m bringing:

  1. Cream Two-Piece Set
This is my go-to for the airport but doubles as a versatile outfit. It’s comfy, stylish, and from Amazon—linked below!
  2. Zia Romper
Soft and secure, this romper has pockets and adjustability. It’s great for work or casual adventures.
  3. Little Black Sundress
Perfect for Hawaii’s warmth, this dress pairs beautifully with a jean jacket for a polished touch.
  4. Flowy Romper from Greece
Breezy and beachy, this romper is lightweight and perfect for both work and moving furniture.

Adventure and Dinner Outfits

I’m balancing casual and chic for post-retreat exploration:

  • Flowy Sundress from Tulum
Feminine and sparkly, this dress screams tropical vibes and is perfect for dinner outings.
  • Casual Shorts and Tank Top
For lounging, breakfasts, or impromptu movie nights, this combo is cute yet relaxed.
  • Old Navy Two-Piece Hot Pink Outfit
Fun, flattering, and functional, this outfit is ideal for low-key adventures.

I’m also packing layers: Lulu Aligns, a jean jacket, and a compact raincoat—because you never know!

Shoes and Layers

Packing shoes is always a puzzle!

  • Dressy Shoes: Toms espadrilles for dinner outings.
  • Casual Footwear: My trusty Birkenstocks and possibly $1 Old Navy flip-flops.
  • Hiking Needs: Lightweight tennis shoes for volcano adventures.

Travel Essentials: Staying Organized

I’m not a packing cube girl, but here’s how I stay prepared:

  • AirTags in Luggage
These help me track my bags if they’re delayed.
  • Travel Insurance
Through my credit cards and an additional plan for peace of mind.

My two favorite travel insurance companies are Arch’s Roamright and Faye.

Tech Must-Haves

Capturing the magic of the retreat and Hawaii is key!

  • GoPro: For snorkeling, hiking, and behind-the-scenes footage.
  • Wireless Mic: Perfect for interviews, TikToks, and reels.
  • Laptop & External Hard Drive: Because retreat support sometimes requires tech.
  • Tripod: for both phone and camera so you can capture the trainings and “sit it ad forget it” for content. Its also perfect for testimonials

UPDATE:  I have added the DJI Osmo 3 to record vlogs and retreat content– and I use the GoPro for adventures and water.

Supporting the Group: Be Prepared for Anything

My role is to think of everything my clients might need:

  • Tea Selection: A mix of green, black, and herbal teas.
  • First Aid Kit: Band-Aids, allergy meds, and tampons/pads.
  • Bug Spray & Sunscreen: Organic and DEET options, plus sunscreen and aloe for any sunburns.

Hawaii, Here I Come!

Packing for a retreat and adventure in Hawaii is always a blend of practicality and style. I can’t wait to see the transformations the women at this retreat will go through—and to explore the beauty of the Big Island. Thanks for packing with me! 🌺
